![]() Warren and his wife Carla, 2 boys: Michael aged 18 and Matthew 15 - and parents Roger and Phyllis Kaeding own and operate Wagon Wheel Seed Corp. located in Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, 30 miles southeast of Yorkton. After Warren and Carla graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 1985 they embarked into the pedigree seed business. They currently crop 6,500 acres, contract another 1,000 acres to seed production and market and retail seed from Ontario to BC and into the northern United States. They are also producing specialty crops such as grain corn, sunflowers, and soybeans. In November, 1999 they were named co-winners of Canada's Outstanding Young Farmers award.
New business ventures have included processing peas for overseas markets, growing pumpkins, sunflowers for birdseed, beans, fibre flax, and corn for silage and grazing. They have begun to broker some commodities and offer production contracts for some grains. Roger maintains a small but interesting tree silvaculture plantation.
